  • Metrolink extension to the Trafford Park Line (£350 million of development) - will branch off from Pomona Island and run all the way through into Trafford Centre, connecting six new stops in approximately 30 minutes or under from the city centre.
  • Greengate Square (£400 million in private sector investment) - Greengate Square is the redeveloped space over the footbridge by Manchester Cathedral. With an events space, bubbling fountains, and ambient lighting, it’s the perfect place to take a breather from the city. The views take in the River Irwell and the Manchester skyline.
  • Port Salford - Anticipated to commence operations in 2023, Port Salford is proposed to be the UK’s first tri-modal inland waterway port which will be served by ship, rail, and road. It will support 16 trains a day and have good rail access to the Port of Liverpool.
